Technology is not the solution.

I think what this shows is that technology is not the answer to our problems. Rather, it’s about our values, culture, political and economic system. If that continues to incentivize extraction, destruction, fossil fuel, delivery for rich over sustainable dev benefits, then outcomes of AI revolution will mainly go in the hands of a few just further exacerbate this. Though the technology sure could have capability in future to “do great things, poverty etc” its not bound to do so. But it’s bound to increase energy short term, oil short term…
